Objective of the Scheme

The National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS), also known as RashtriyaParivarik Labh Yojana, was launched by the Uttar Pradesh government in January 2016. The scheme provides financial assistance to families living below the poverty line (BPL) who have lost their primary breadwinner. It ensures financial stability for economically weaker families in times of crisis.

Eligibility Criteria

    Who Can Apply?
  1. The deceased must be the primary breadwinner of the family.
  2. The family's income must be below the specified limit:
    • - ₹56,450 per year in urban areas.
    • - ₹46,080 per year in rural areas.
  3. The applicant (next head of the family) must be between 18 and 60 years of age.
  4. The deceased must have been aged between 18 and 60 years.

Special Categories

  1. Priority for marginalized communities, including SC/ST families.
  2. Widows and dependents of the deceased are the primary beneficiaries.

  1. Death Certificate of the primary breadwinner.
  2. Income Certificate proving the family meets the income eligibility criteria.
  3. BPL Certificate or Ration Card as proof of financial status.
